BRONZE ARTS AWARD

During the project, students had the opportunity to complete various creative OCN’s and the Trinity College London Bronze Arts Award.  This is an award that can be completed on any art discipline of their choice and comprises 4 parts: a museum review, a creative arts activity, an arts skill share and researching an inspirational artist.  We included this as part of the project so students had something extra to work towards, which would give them recognised qualifications at the end.  It also fitted hand in hand with what we were doing creatively and helped to give the project structure.  We organised a museum visit in which we looked at an exhibition about maps and arranged a talk with a map expert from the museum.

It was also an opportunity for students to share their own personal art skills that may have been learnt along the way or something they are passionate about, such as playing a musical instrument or working in ceramics as part of the skills share.  Although unrelated to the heritage part of the project, it was a great way of incorporating something fun and building the team, giving all individuals a chance to shine!

We recorded information using film and photo documentation to show each process that the students completed.

We have 9 students completing a Bronze Art Award on the digital portfolio space ‘Artsbox’
